Jens Selin
I design products where people work alongside AI — interfaces for agents, assistants, and systems that act on someone's behalf. It's new surface area with old problems: trust, legibility, control, and knowing what just happened and why.
Based in Lisbon, Portugal. Alongside AI product and agent interaction design, I work in art direction, UX & UI, visual identity, editorial and graphic design, packaging, and illustration.
What I keep coming back to is design systems built to be read by machines as well as people — tokens, structure, and naming an agent can reason about without a human translating first. A system that's legible to a model is usually a clearer system, full stop.
The same goes for branding. I like liquid brand languages: identities that stay themselves while flowing across surfaces, formats, and contexts they weren't originally drawn for. Simple, symmetrical forms. Minimal use of color. Design as subtraction — fewer, better decisions rather than more elements.
That discipline matters more with agents, not less. An interface that hides its reasoning or overstates its confidence loses someone faster than a cluttered one ever will.
